Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Pour the milk into a blender. Add the melted butter, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and flour. Blend until smooth.
  • Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet and lightly grease it.
  • Pour about ¼ cup of batter into the pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes on one side, flip, and cook for another minute.
  • Transfer the cooked crepes to a clean towel to keep warm.
  • Repeat with the remaining batter.

Notes

  • Resting the Batter: It’s recommended to let the batter rest for 30 minutes before cooking to achieve lighter, more flexible crepes.
  • Sweet or Savory: This recipe can easily be made into sweet crepes by adding a little extra sugar or vanilla to the batter. For savory crepes, simply omit the sugar and add a pinch of salt.
  • Cooking Tip: Use a non-stick skillet to prevent the crepes from sticking. Be careful not to overheat the pan to avoid burning the crepes.
  • Storage: Cooked crepes can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. To freeze, separate the crepes with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  • Serving Ideas: Try filling your crepes with Nutella and banana slices, or fresh fruit and whipped cream for a delicious treat!
